Thank you for your interest in the position of Secondary Director at Bruche Academy.
We are at an exciting phase in our school and Trust development. Bruche Primary Academy, which is the highest performing primary school in Warrington, will become an all-through school from September 2026.
Our new name will be Bruche Academy, accommodating children from 2 to 16 years. Years 7 and above will have two forms in each year, expanding the school to 550 pupils. This will be Warrington’s first all through school. Curriculum planning has begun and staff modelling is underway; staffing will grow year-on-year as cohorts rise.
A new building will be added to the existing site for September 2027, including shared dining, sports, reception and staff room provision. All the facilities for key stage 3 and 4 will be new and provided in the additional building. The early year’s area will be rebuilt and moved to the front of the site. A specialist Project Manager leads the physical build and constructors have been appointed. A Head of School for Primary is in place.
Our vision statement is defined as: “Success, nothing less”
Bruche is an Ofsted rated Good school. It was again recently rated as the top performing primary school in Warrington, with 97% of pupils at the school meeting the expected standard in reading, writing and maths. The school has consistently demonstrated exceptional academic performance. In 2020, 2023, 2024 and 2025 the school was ranked in the 150 best-performing state primary schools in England.
These achievements underscore Bruche Primary Academy’s unwavering commitment to providing high-quality education and fostering academic excellence among our students. The extension to an all through school will expand this success.
The Secondary Director at Bruche Academy will be a new role and we are excited to conduct the recruitment process. The school and Trust staff have been working hard since 2024 to bring the vision of the expanded school to life.
We have children choosing our year 7 provision from September 2026 and are keen to appoint the right person to lead this innovative venture.
We look forward to meeting you soon.
Yours faithfully,
