Thank you for your interest in the position of Headteacher at Beamont
Primary Academy in Warrington Primary Academy Trust (WPAT).
Beamont joined WPAT in 2018 and has been an integral part of the Trust’s development. It is a friendly, community-rooted 2 to 11 years school on O’Leary Street in Warrington (WA2), serving nearly 400 pupils. Ofsted judged the school Good in October 2022 and described pupils as “happy members of this encouraging school community”, who behave well and respond to leaders’ high expectations. The school sits alongside a Children’s Centre and offers wraparound childcare through breakfast and after-school provision.
Pupil progress is something the staff and leadership are very proud of. Outcomes have strengthened and the school is on an upward trajectory. In 2025, 78% of pupils achieved the expected standard in reading, writing and maths combined, alongside strong subject results: 80% reading, 81% writing and 80% maths.
At the start of this year we were also commended by the Secretary of State on our excellent outcomes for our disadvantaged pupils, placing us among the very best of schools nationally. As part of our enrichment, we are excited that later in the year some of our children and staff will be joining an exciting trip to China!
You will be joining our Trust at an exciting part of our journey, where we continue to build on the incredible work at Beamont and further enhance the capacity and capabilities of our Trust, including opportunities to contribute to trust-wide and system leadership work; for example, through the Trust’s networks and the externally focused professional development hubs.
As well as a dedicated and passionate staff cohort at Beamont Primary Academy, you will contribute to and be supported by WPAT’s central services and network groups, through strong central support and shared practice across schools.
This post will be an extremely rewarding experience for the right candidate. You will influence change across the Trust and its growing community of schools through our wonderful pupils, dedicated and talented staff, a supportive Local Governance Committee and an array of opportunities across the wider WPAT schools and local systems leadership.
We look forward to meeting you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Louise Smith
